Adding Inventory Photos to an object

I love it when vendors include images of their product with your purchase, because it means I don't have to rez or wear an item to figure out what it looks like later.  If they don't, then there is an easy, free fix!  Some vendors are already doing this for you, so hover your mouse over the object beforehand.

In the Firestorm browser:

First, position your camera so you have a clear view of the object you wish you had an inventory photo of. 

(You can take control of your camera by holding down ctrl + alt, and click-and-drag with your mouse button.) 

1. Right Click the desired object (or folder) 

2.Select 'image' from the menu that pops up. You'll get a new window with a preview image called 'Change Item Image.' 

3. Click on the camera button in the bottom row.  In this window, you get the opportunity to reposition your camera as needed and take a new photo, 

4. Click Save. 

Now, when you're in your inventory, HOVER your mouse pointer over the object you wanted a picture of. Your preview image will pop up! It does not add to your inventory total, and you can't share it or use it for other things, but it's very handy. It works on everything that is an Object (that yellow cube), including BOM clothing and skins. 

 Now, go get organizing!
